About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Public Works Labourer to join our team at the Municipality of the District of Shelburne. As a key member of our public works team, you will be responsible for maintaining the district's infrastructure and ensuring the safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds to ensure a safe and clean environment for our residents.
  • Assist equipment operators in securing attachments to equipment or trucks, and assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, and perform routine maintenance work as required.
  • Work collaboratively with skilled tradespersons to complete tasks and projects.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
