Harvesting Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Harvesting Labourer to join our team at Mingo Farming. As a key member of our farming team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective harvesting of crops.
Key Responsibilities- Harvesting and Crop Management: Apply fertilizers, cut agricultural crops, divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots, and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market.
- Crop Maintenance: Greenhouse cleaning, hand harvesting vegetables, harvest seedlings, mixing fertilizer, seed cutting, sort fruits and vegetables, tie and secure plants, and weed.
- Crop Protection: Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides, report signs of insect or disease damage, and operate climate controls.
- Soil and Water Management: Mix and prepare soils, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
As a Harvesting Labourer, you will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including wet/damp and hot environments. You will be required to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Work Conditions: Large workload, overtime required.
- Reliability: A strong sense of reliability and responsibility is essential for this role.
- Team Player: You will be working as part of a team, so excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
