Job Title: Registered Practical NurseWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing supportive nursing care to patients with mental health needs.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide supportive nursing care, including crisis management and emergency nursing care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and promote patient recovery.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of a recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Previous nursing experience working in psychiatric/mental health specialization is preferred.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, and Substitute Decision Act.
- Safety and Security in the Workplace Training (candidate must agree to complete prior to start date if this qualification is not met).
- Valid drivers' license, if required.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual is an asset.
