Job Title: Registered Practical NurseWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide supportive nursing care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments, including physical and mental health evaluations.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans, including medication management and treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Graduate of a recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Previous nursing experience working in psychiatric/mental health specialization is preferred.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, and Substitute Decision Act.
- Safety and Security in the Workplace Training (candidate must agree to complete prior to start date if this qualification is not met).
- Valid drivers' license, if required.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual is an asset.
