Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at the Brockville Mental Health Centre. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supportive nursing care to patients with mental health needs, consistent with their treatment and rehabilitation goals.
- Assess patients' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment, including crisis management and emergency nursing care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduate of a recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Previous nursing experience working in psychiatric/mental health specialization is preferred.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, and Substitute Decision Act.
- Safety and Security in the Workplace Training (candidate must agree to complete prior to start date if this qualification is not met).
- Valid drivers' license, if required.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual is an asset.
The Royal Mental Health Centre offers a competitive salary range of $35.36 to $37.05 per hour, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the well-being of our employees.
