About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cafeteria Supervisor to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management
    • Develop and implement efficient food preparation and service procedures to meet customer demand.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring they are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
    • Monitor and control food inventory, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, including greeting, serving, and thanking them for their business.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and train food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all food service staff are aware of and adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
    • Conduct regular health and safety inspections to identify and address any potential hazards.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
    • Skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
      • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
