Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ICI Site Superintendent to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for ICI projects, ensuring that subcontractors and tradespeople meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to adhere to ICI project specifications and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, address issues or delays promptly, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all site personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all work meets company standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of project expenses, material usage, and labour to support budgeting and reporting.
  • Facilitate clear communication among team members, clients, and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ICI Superintendent, with a proven track record managing ICI projects and experience in new build hotel projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable building practices is preferred.
  • Gold Seal certification or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
  • Proficient with construction management software and tools.
  • Capable of working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
