The Role of the Associate Director

This position reports directly into the Global Head of Portfolio Strategy for Heinz. The Associate Director, Global Heinz Portfolio Strategy is responsible for enabling accelerated Heinz growth around the world by owning global long-term Heinz vision & scaling portfolio strategy guidance, in partnership with a global community of local Heinz leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide future vision for the brand – build out and own the global brand ambition, brand purpose & brand strategy that defines global jobs to be done
  • Lead Global Heinz Portfolio Strategy – build clear guidance on portfolio strategy, brand stretch framework and brand guardrails to define where to play
  • Lead Global Heinz Playbook Creation – create gold standard portfolio playbook – global product/pack standard and vision, portfolio roles & market guidance on pricing tiers
  • Define the Product/Pack transformation ambition for the future – set the long term ambition for product and pack roadmap to future proof Heinz globally
  • Scale Innovation Ideas for Impact across the world
  • Inspire and Build Best Practices across markets to drive growth on global Heinz brand.
  • Strategic Advisor to Zone & Country Teams – Drive leadership and guidance for local market teams as key point of contact. Act as strategic advisor and influential leader to guide teams globally.

Qualifications

  • A minimum eight (8+) years of strategic brand building experience is required
  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • Experience building iconic, global brands with a clear strategy & purpose
  • Strong leadership credentials in building vision & driving to clear action / results
  • High level of tolerance for working in ambiguity, managing change and driving change management/transformation
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to build effective & influential working relationships
  • High level of financial competence and analytical skills to spot global trends and influence business needs
  • Proficient at storytelling in creative, influential & impactful ways - excellent communication, organization and presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite)
