About the Role
The Workers' Compensation Specialist - Case Manager will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day Workers' Compensation claims for ongoing and new clients, ensuring no lost time, recovery, and return to work. This involves developing and implementing strong return to work/no lost time strategies, appeals, and analysis of data for ongoing and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage claims, evaluate historical claim performance, confirm treatment programs with healthcare providers, and liaise with stakeholders to provide solution-focused programs.
- Communicate with key stakeholders involved in return-to-work planning and mitigate lost time.
- Maintain and develop practices and procedures for claims and disability management services.
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships.
- Deliver quarterly and annual reports with a continuous improvement focus.
Requirements
- Exceptional fact-gathering, reviewing objective medical information, and analyzing cases using proven return-to-wellness strategies.
- At least two years of disability management experience, including short-term and long-term disability adjudication.
- Strong medical knowledge and a customer service focus.
