Financial Services Role

Meridian Credit Union Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Professional to join our team. As a key member of our branch sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, understanding their financial needs, and offering tailored advice and recommendations to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to members, identifying and promoting solutions that meet their needs
  • Engage in revenue generation and sales-based activities to achieve performance objectives, building external centers of influence to optimize sales and service results
  • Use provided tools to proactively identify and promote opportunities with members, deepening relationships and providing flawless service experiences
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect members' privacy
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education with at least 3 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services environment, with a consistent track record in sales
  • Strong business and financial industry knowledge, with a desire for career growth within the financial services industry
  • At minimum, MFDA licensing is required for most roles
  • Flexible to work all scheduled hours, including some evenings and Saturdays
  • Proven understanding of computer systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including coaching and leadership skills
  • Effective organizational time management and problem-solving skills
