Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in Mission, B.C. as a Community Mental Health Specialist.
About the Role:- Provide treatment and care management services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on client needs and best practices.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor client response to treatment.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on managing mental health and substance use issues.
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document client information and treatment plans.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
- Ability to complete initial and ongoing mental health and substance use client assessments.
- Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology (indications and side-effects).
- Counselling and group facilitation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, families/care givers, and other healthcare professionals.
