Merchandise Associate Role

Carter's Inc. is a leading North American apparel retailer, specializing in baby and young children's clothing. As a Merchandise Associate, you will play a vital support role on the merchandising team, working closely with product category managers, planners, and replenishment analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate product information on Seasonal Line Sheets in Flex PLM for Canada
  • Create and manage product styles in Flex PLM for Canada-exclusive styles
  • Verify price accuracy across all systems
  • Apply packing codes (DIMs) to all products
  • Maintain bulk purchase orders for both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce
  • Develop and update Monthly Flow Visual Boards in Adobe InDesign
  • Enter promotion data in Forecast Horizon, including markdowns, markups, and validation
  • Process purchase orders for outside vendors
Collaborative Responsibilities
  • Support product category managers and outside vendor calendar timelines, tasks, and requests
  • Prioritize workload in partnership with product category managers to meet daily and weekly tasks and deadlines
  • Collaborate with the merchant team and cross-functional partners
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat)
  • Excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
  • Multitasking, decisiveness, teamwork, and ability to work with cross-functional partners
  • Knowledge of retail math and analytics, merchandising principles, and product knowledge
  • Attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Secondary education or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of retail experience required
