About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook, Apprentice to join our team at Tandoori Flame. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, determining food portion sizes and costs, and planning menus and estimating food requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and functions
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in food preparation and handling
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
