Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Sylvan Lake Beachfront Resort Ltd. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals. This includes directing and controlling daily operations, directing staff, motivating staff, planning and controlling budget and expenditures, establishing and implementing policies and procedures, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing training and development strategies, answering telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, answering electronic enquiries, compiling data, statistics and other information, overseeing the preparation of reports, advising senior management, responding to employee questions and complaints, ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory, liaising with management, union officials and HR consultants, negotiating collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, organizing staff consultation and grievance procedures, arranging travel, related itineraries and making reservations, greeting people and directing them to contacts or service areas, typing and proofreading correspondence, forms and other documents, performing data entry, providing customer service, recruiting and hiring workers and carrying out related staffing actions, and coaching.

Work Environment

This role will be based in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong judgement and client focus, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
