A&W is seeking a skilled Food Service Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role

The Food Service Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Hire food service staff and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, as well as prepare and submit reports as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
