About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Business Analytics workgroup at Irving Oil. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting analytics solutions that drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Operations to scope requirements for solutions that optimize budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Design and Develop Analytics Solutions that improve or reinvent business processes, leveraging best practices in analytics and data visualization.
  • Provide User Support throughout the analytics lifecycle, from training to solution implementation and day-to-day support.
  • Coach and Mentor less experienced staff on technology and business processes, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Identify Opportunities for Continuous Improvement and implement changes that drive business value.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in finance, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 Years of Experience in finance, business analysis, data analysis, or a data visualization role.
  • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Oracle Essbase (Smart View), or other multi-dimensional financial planning technology.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/Data Visualization technology, such as IBM Cognos Analytics or Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification at Green or Black Belt level (or similar certification) is considered an asset.
