Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team in Saint John, NB. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our general ledger, leading month-end processes, and supporting the review of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through maintenance and reconciliations
  • Serve as a champion and administrator for financial reporting systems
  • Lead month-end processes and support the review of financial statements
  • Participate in monthly Branch P&L reviews and serve as a liaison with branches
  • Assist in the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and external auditor requirements
  • Project accounting and support where required

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (near completion of the CPA program is acceptable)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Results-driven with a process improvement mindset
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel
