Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Care Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe, quality patient-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years' experience within the last five years of Home Care experience, although relevant skills and experience in community sector nursing will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability as demonstrated through employment references.
  • Physically able to perform all assigned tasks, including climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in providing case management services, knowledge of Meditech PCS, and service authorizations.
  • Expertise in Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wounds, lower limb assessments, skin and ostomy care, palliative support, and client teaching.
