About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Héroux-Devtek as a CNC Programmer, where you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of CNC programs and documentation using Catia. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality products that meet engineering specifications and drawings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering to investigate methods of manufacturing and fixturing to ensure tooling requirements are met and initial purchases are made.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems, instigate corrective actions, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Perform blue print reading to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare solid models or geometry for tool paths to optimize machining processes.
  • Select cutting tools and plan machining processes to ensure efficient production.
  • Program tool paths and prepare program packages, including tool lists, setup sheets, and measuring tool lists.
  • Verify tool paths on Vericut software to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Issue program packages and perform tape proving on machines to ensure smooth production.
  • Program conversions to different machining centers and program change requests to ensure adaptability.
  • Revision updates and changes, rework schemes, and check returned program packages for filing.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and perform new tool testing to ensure quality and efficiency.
Qualifications

This role requires a strong understanding of AS0 and its impact on the position requirements. The ideal candidate will be task-oriented with impeccable technical accuracy and be able to pass a Controlled Goods Program background screening.
