Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mastercam Programmer to join our team at Progressive Machining Inc.. This is a permanent position that requires expertise in computer numerical control programming and a strong understanding of machining processes.

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in CNC programming
Work Environment

The role is situated in a general manufacturing setting, where attention to detail and precision are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust and set machine or equipment controls
  • Develop and refine manufacturing and processing procedures
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Document deviations from specifications and maintain inspection records
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments
  • Set up and operate both conventional and CNC machine tools
Required Certifications
  • Machinist Trade Certification
  • Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification
  • Tool and Die Maker Red Seal Certificate
  • Machinist Red Seal Endorsement
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Mastercam CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with SolidWorks and other CAD applications
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to operate CNC machines effectively
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
