Job Title: Social Worker (MSW) or Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker (MSW) or Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) to join our team at Lifemark Health Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality counselling services to clients with psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide goal-focused, therapeutic approaches to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and goals.
  • Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Population Served:

Our team works with adults from various third-party insurers and programs, including Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI), Motor Vehicle Accident Victims (MVA), Long Term Disability (LTD), and Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS).

Licensing and Experience:
  • Fully licensed as an RCT with the Nova Scotia College of Registered Counselling Therapists.
  • OR Social Worker registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an autonomous practitioner in good standing (Must have a Masters of Social Work).

We are looking for candidates with experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms, as well as clinical knowledge in areas such as grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues. Cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT) are an asset.
