About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at pt Health. As a Social Worker - Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality counselling services to clients with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to adults with mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct assessments, progress reports, and discharge summaries to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss client treatment plans and progress.
  • Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an autonomous practitioner in good standing.
  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with adult clients.
  • Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
