About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our startup customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with startup customers to provide technical advocacy as they build their products in the cloud.
  • Create plans, in conjunction with other members of customer account teams, to define how you will help your customers with their cloud needs.
  • Share your technical knowledge broadly by participating in select, startup-focused, one-to-few and one-to-many sessions with larger groups of customers.
  • Work with other teams at AWS to contribute to the creation of content that can be delivered to the broader startup community at scale.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in design/implementation/management of complex distributed IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Solid experience in infrastructure (compute, storage, network), application, or database architectures.
  • Awareness of software development methodologies and cloud computing benefits, concepts.
  • Awareness of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree; Computer Science, Engineering or Math background highly desired, or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.
  • AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Experience with software/technology in a customer facing role.
  • Experience with cloud migrations or IT transformations.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions build on AWS.
