About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Director of Applications Engineering to join our team at Skyworks. As a key member of our Diversified Analog Solutions Business unit, you will be responsible for leading a global product team of applications engineers in the design, adoption, and customer support of our best-in-class Connectivity solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of applications engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of high-efficiency power amplifiers and integrated RF front-end multi-chip modules, as well as other related technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, System Engineering, Program Management, Product/Test Engineering, and Product Line Management teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Customer Interface: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing technical support and guidance to ensure their success with our products.
- Travel: Travel up to 25% of the time to support and partner sites, as well as attend industry conferences and events.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of relevant technical experience, with 6+ years of leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong background in fundamental RF and systems design, excellent presentation and communication skills, strong data analysis skills, and experience leading multidiscipline teams.
