Job Title: Child Care Coordinator

Join the YMCA of Greater Vancouver team as a Child Care Coordinator and play a vital role in providing high-quality child care services to our community.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Coordinator to lead our team in delivering exceptional child care programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all programs are operating in compliance with regulatory requirements and YMCA policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff to create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and implement high-quality programs that meet the needs of children and families.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver programs that are aligned with the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Develop and distribute required documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellence in child care delivery.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A current BC ECE IT License to Practice or willingness to obtain.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in child care and child development.
  • 4 years of experience in child care and child development preferred.
  • Experience leading an effective team will be considered an asset.
  • A current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Three satisfactory professional references.
