We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Care Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As a key member of our Child Care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that meet the needs of our children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Work with our team to design and deliver age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of Early Childhood Educators to deliver exceptional programs and services.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all programs are operating in compliance with Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA BC Child Protection Policies.
- Communication and Customer Service: Build relationships and provide exceptional customer service to families and children.
- Documentation and Reporting: Develop and distribute required documentation to necessary parties.
- Education and Certification: Current BC ECE IT License to Practice, or ECE who is willing to obtain their ECE IT.
- Experience: 3 years' leadership experience in child care and child development.
- Skills and Qualities: Experience leading an effective, engaged team; current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain; satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search; three satisfactory professional references.
