About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Portfolio Manager. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction of our commercial teams' portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the commercial teams' portfolio management
  • Direct oversight of specialists focusing on larger business opportunities and indirect leadership of the specialist team focusing on deals up to $2MM
  • Support a specified geographic market, which may include multiple physical locations
  • Adjudicate loans within discretionary limits and ensure the credit portfolio remains within CWB's credit risk appetite and minimizes overall operational risk
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven abilities in risk management, banking, business lending, and leadership
  • Financial designation or graduate level studies preferred but not required
  • Extensive and proven leadership competence
