Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of large commercial clients, taking responsibility for the overall relationship strategy within the client's RBC relationship team.
  • Provide proactive and customized business and financial advice to clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business and industry.
  • Acquire and grow Senior Commercial Markets client relationships, collaborating with the client relationship team and bringing the full breadth of RBC to businesses, business owners, and their employees.
  • Work in close partnership and collaboration with CFS Finance to manage and support complex client credit needs, demonstrating strong credit acumen and sound risk mitigation and portfolio oversight.
  • Foster internal and external strategic partnerships and centres of influence (COIs) to meet the business' strategic goals while focusing on target market clients.
  • Ensure clients are enabled to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business.
Requirements
  • University degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Minimum 35 years' commercial banking experience.
  • Proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of banking products and services, including industry specialized knowledge, as applicable.
  • Experience and comfort with emerging technology (e.g. video conferencing, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).
