We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer/Engineer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Technology Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) - Operations and Engineering - Tools & Monitoring - Global Event Management System (GEMS) team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining ServiceNow applications and processes with a focus on configuration to align to out-of-box functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain ServiceNow applications and processes with a focus on configuration to align to out-of-box functionalities.
  • Play a crucial role in technical navigation, guiding our team through the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions, ensuring delivery to business objectives and adherence to best practices as documented by ServiceNow.
  • Provide oversight over project intake and designs/proposals put forward.
  • Push for opportunities to develop application strategies and validate solutions that comply with the out-of-box application feature roadmap.
  • Provide extended support (after hours - 24x7) for engagement(s) in real-time troubleshooting & resolution of Priority 1 / Major Incidents.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on technical working and/or consultancy experience with ServiceNow application development & advanced scripting (e.g., JavaScript, HTML & Glide methodology) in support of extending ServiceNow application functionalities.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on technical working and/or consultancy experience in designing/planning/implementing/integrating REST and SOAP APIs or other integration methodologies between the ServiceNow Platform and external systems/sources.
  • Completed a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or in related Technology stream.
  • Completed the ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
