We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager, Engineering to join our team at The Calgary Airport Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in all engineering matters related to the investigation, study, design, and construction of airfield, landside, land development, ground transportation, facility expansion, and restoration projects at the Calgary and Springbank Airports.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership in all matters pertaining to engineering investigations, studies, designs, and construction of airfield, landside, land development, ground transportation, facility expansion, and restoration projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and aviation standards.
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Liaise with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to address engineering-related issues and requirements.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
- Professional Engineering or related affiliation required.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in airport engineering, including project management, financial budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of engineering materials and construction methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills, including supervisory and people management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a wide variety of stakeholders.
