Retail Store Supervisor Job Description
At Stratford Quick-Stop, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to lead our retail store team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of sales workers, ensuring excellent customer service and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels.
- Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, ensuring a smooth and efficient store operation.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Working Conditions:
- 30-35 hours per week.
- Permanent employment.
- English language.
