Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

Annual Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000

Job Summary

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment to assist with sales transactions, perform clerical duties, and maintain inventory control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating order costs, resolving supplier issues, and conducting quality control.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as data entry and filing.
  • Calculate costs of orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and records.
  • Resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Set up and maintain an inventory control system that ensures accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify stock availability from current inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Compile inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Dispose of and account for outdated stock in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Prepare inventory costs, retail pricing, and profit reports for management review.
  • Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Record the quantity, type, and value of stock on hand using a computerized or manual inventory system.
  • Verify receipts and packing slips to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Computer and Technology Knowledge
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and record-keeping.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-paced work environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Permanent full-time position with a typical workweek of 30-40 hours.
  • English language proficiency required for communication and documentation.
