Senior Nuclear System Engineering Lead

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Nuclear System Engineering Lead to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc. in Peterborough, Ontario.
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in the CANDU industry and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the maintenance and operations of the Target Delivery System (TDS) at Darlington NPGS.
The TDS is a first-of-its-kind nuclear piping system that incorporates automation and process controls to irradiate Molybdenum targets in an operating reactor.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the TDS.
- Develop and execute plans for daily support to operations, design changes, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the TDS Manager to plan resources, recruit team members, and onboard new hires.
- Ensure adherence to quality systems, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Travel approximately 30% required for site visits and meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Nuclear, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Valid PEO license or in-process of obtaining.
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in design or manufacturing engineering in highly regulated industries.
- Proven success in a leadership role, with experience in project schedules, budgets, financial metrics, and other project management methodologies.
