Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Team Leader to join our team at Dockside Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cooking and leadership, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire their team to achieve high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor our culinary team to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the team, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Training and Development: Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Recipe Development: Create new recipes to enhance our menu offerings and keep our dishes fresh and exciting.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu planning.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
