About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as an Executive Director, Total Rewards and Organizational Design. This is a key role that will oversee the design and implementation of Total Rewards and Organizational Design initiatives, manage the compensation function, and establish related programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for Total Rewards and Organizational Design, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational goals.
  • Team Development: Mentor and coach a team of Total Rewards and Organizational Design professionals, guiding them to achieve strategic priorities and deliver organizational results.
  • Organizational Partnership: Collaborate with leaders at all levels to provide guidance, coaching, and support on organizational matters, enhancing effectiveness and achieving business objectives.
  • Synergistic Collaboration: Foster partnerships and collaboration among leaders, employees, and stakeholders to create a positive employment experience, promote organizational goals, and support employee health, wellness, and resilience.
  • Best Practices Empowerment: Enable leaders to apply organization design best practices in departmental evolution and growth planning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve compensation programs and practices, and continuously assess enterprise structures.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Evaluation: Analyze prospective mergers or acquisitions from a Total Rewards and Organization Design perspective, providing analytical support and due diligence.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with audit, employment standards, and legal requirements by collaborating with internal stakeholders and reviewing relevant legislation.

About You

  • 10+ years leading high-engaged, collaborative Compensation/Total Rewards/Organizational Design teams.
  • 5+ years delivering results within a sales & service organization of minimum 1500 employees, preferred across multiple provinces in Canada.
  • Experience building out commission & incentivized compensation structures to achieve sales results.
  • Keenly aware of industry thought leaders, trending people practices as well as abreast of current Employment Standards, Federal and Provincial legislation as they relate to compensation practices.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integrations from a Total Rewards perspective.
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong follow-through with on-going communications to various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of how your personal brand impacts People & Culture reputation and ability to deliver results in the organization.
  • Leadership style which encourages diversity of thought to create a culture of trust, with an unselfish mindset to foster leadership in others.
