**Job Summary**

At All Nations Coordinated Response Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intake Assessment Worker to join our team. As a key member of our child welfare team, you will be responsible for providing intake case services to families and children within our jurisdiction.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct child protection investigations and apprehend children at risk
  • Assess requests for service with reference to risk of children, overall functioning, and service needs of families
  • Initiate referrals to other community collaterals as appropriate
  • Complete written reports, file recordings, forms, and correspondence as required

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a child welfare environment, Child and Family Services protection experience an asset
  • Knowledge of substance abuse, family violence, child development, child abuse/neglect, and community resources
  • Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, child protection investigation, and assessing high-risk situations
  • Knowledge and understanding of multi-cultural issues and demonstrated skill working cross-culturally
  • Excellent organizational, computer, written, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in working as part of a team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage workload in a team environment
