Job Description

Job Title: Department Head - Cosmetics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Head - Cosmetics to join our team at London Drugs Limited. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading the cosmetics department to achieve sales, inventory control, and payroll goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the cosmetics department employees to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards.
  • Hire, schedule, and manage payroll for department employees.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the department to achieve company goals and objectives, including financial benchmarks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of management experience in retail, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetic products and strong skills in merchandising and creative display of product.
  • Professional sales experience and proven ability to build business.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be available to transfer to other locations as needed.
