About the Role

At VERB Interactive, we're seeking a skilled Local SEO Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our digital marketing team, you'll play a crucial role in improving our clients' online visibility and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and publish high-quality content on Google Business Profile (GBP), including selecting images, writing and editing posts.
  • SEO Reporting: Create and present comprehensive SEO reports to clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Citation Management: Audit and update citation sites across the internet to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • GBP Management: Audit GBP listings and develop content calendars to optimize online presence.
  • Keyword Monitoring: Continuously monitor local SEO keywords to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Accounts team and other departments to ensure seamless task completion.
  • Strategic Thinking: Continuously brainstorm innovative SEO strategies and tactics, and communicate ideas to the team.
  • Professional Development: Participate in SEO team training activities and assist with other SEO tasks as required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO and integrated marketing trends.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of local SEO experience.
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience managing GBP listings and/or social media campaigns.
  • Experience managing local SEO efforts for multiple clients, with a focus on the travel and hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and create content for SEO and/or social media.
  • Hands-on experience auditing and updating online citations.
  • Comfortable presenting reports to clients and able to clearly explain decision-making rationale.
  • Able to take constructive criticism as a learning opportunity and apply feedback as needed.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels and marketing tactics outside of organic search or local SEO.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment.
