Job Summary

The Assistant Rooms Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations, focusing on guest satisfaction and achieving the operating budget. This entry-level management position involves supervising related areas, including Housekeeping, Recreation, and Laundry, and ensuring the property's cleanliness standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supporting the Management of Rooms Operations Activities
  • Opens and Closes Front Desk Shifts
  • Reviews Critical Information in Room Operations Reports
  • Understands Functions of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Guest Services Operations
  • Temporarily Supervises All Areas of the Room Operations Department
  • Ensures Employees Have Proper Supplies and Uniforms
Contributing Information to Support Managing to Budget
  • Maximizes Room Revenue and Property Occupancy
  • Verifies Accuracy of Room Rates
  • Participates in Departmental Budgeting and Controllable Expenses
Providing for and Managing the Guest Experience
  • Participates in Guest Feedback and Complaint Resolution
  • Assists in Guest Information Tracking
  • Sets a Positive Example for Guest Relations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4 Years of Experience in Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, or Related Fields
