About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor - Taxation to join our Investment Fund Administration team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing the tax situation of investment funds and making recommendations to support the implementation of important initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze tax situations of investment funds and provide recommendations to stakeholders
  • Coach and guide a team of professionals responsible for delivering various activities
  • Manage strategic relationships with internal and external partners to establish collaborative relationships and influence decisions
  • Develop and implement effective controls and working tools to ensure high-quality standards and integrity of financial data
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure application of tax and securities rules in team deliverables
  • Calculate distributions of income and capital gains, and produce tax returns for investment funds
  • Participate in and coordinate projects, and ensure their monitoring
  • Collaborate and contribute to the improvement of activities and processes
About the Team

The Taxation team consists of 10 professionals who analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions for clients and partners while meeting the challenges of tax and securities law.

Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 7-10 years of relevant experience in the sector
  • Experience in filing tax returns for trusts and corporations
  • Knowledge of investment funds and trusts, mandatory
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage priorities effectively
