About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Taxation Advisor to join our Investment Fund Administration team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing the tax situation of investment funds and making recommendations to support the implementation of important initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex tax situations and provide expert advice to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Coach and guide a team of professionals responsible for delivering various activities, including tax returns and financial statements.
  • Develop and implement effective controls and working tools to ensure high-quality standards and the integrity of financial data.
  • Manage strategic relationships with internal and external partners to establish collaborative relationships and influence decisions.
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure the application of tax and securities rules in the team's deliverables.
  • Calculate distributions of income and capital gains, and produce tax returns for investment funds.
  • Participate in and coordinate projects, ensuring their timely completion and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve activities and processes.
About the Team

The Taxation team consists of 10 professionals who work together to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions for our clients and partners. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that values expertise, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the sector.
  • Experience in filing tax returns for trusts and corporations.
  • Knowledge of investment funds and trusts, mandatory.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and complex formulas.
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage priorities effectively.
