Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our North America Software portfolio at CPP Investments. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled investment professional to leverage their expertise in the technology sector and contribute to the success of our Active Equities team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the financial performance of the Active Equities North American Software portfolio, executing the fundamental research process with excellence and making security selection and position sizing decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a dedicated sector team, driving accountability for investment decisions, leading by example to foster a culture of inclusion, and leveraging knowledge, skills, and networks within CPP Investments.
  • External Representation: Represent CPP Investments externally, communicating Active Equities strategies and objectives, interacting with company boards, management teams, equity research analysts, and industry experts as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A strong investment track record in the Technology/Software sector in North America, with experience in boardroom situations and long-term investments in concentrated portfolios.
  • Exceptional financial statement analysis skills, ability to link company/industry specifics to valuation considerations, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills, with abilities as a communicator (oral and written) and as a presenter, as well as demonstrable teambuilding and collaboration skills.
