Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Woodfibre Management Ltd. as we embark on the Woodfibre LNG Project. The successful candidate will provide generalist support in all areas of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, and systems administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Activities: Perform HR activities around employment, compensation, training, and development.
  • Salary Structure and Job Documentation: Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Personnel Records: Be responsible for the organization and maintenance of personnel records, including but not limited to the creation of new employee files, upkeeping of existing employee records, and the processing of terminated employees.
  • Performance Management: Assist with the Performance Management process.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform daily administrative tasks such as writing letters, HR Support communications, new hire presentation memos, and tracking employee data.
  • Company Policies: Develop and communicate company policies.
  • Group Benefits: Administer group benefits enrolment for new employees.
  • Injury Management and Return to Work: Coordinate with HR Manager on Injury Management and Return to Work programs.
  • Benefit Inquiries and Enrollment: Educate and assist team members with benefit inquiries and enrollment processes.
  • Recruiting Efforts: Coordinate and support recruiting efforts in the hiring and placement of key positions, including verbal/written communication with hiring managers, creating Job Descriptions, and reporting recruitment progress.
  • Payroll Process: Support payroll process as needed biweekly and year-end.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with employees to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal and local employment laws and regulations, ethical standards, and recommended best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working on the above referenced accountabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Certifications: A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is preferred or working toward.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Provincial and Federal Employment Legislation and Compliance.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, DocuSign, HRIS, and other relevant software.
  • Workday HCM and ADP Experience: Workday HCM and ADP experience is a plus.
