About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions, and follow-ups as related to respiratory therapy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and mechanical ventilatory support.
  • Patient Education and Support: Provide family, patient, and staff education on respiratory therapy procedures and protocols.
  • Skill Development and Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities, such as developing written procedures, assessment forms, and patient materials, and contributing to departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Education and Certification: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
  • Experience: Two years' recent experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
