Real Estate Transactions Coordinator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Paralegal, Real Estate to join our Vancouver Office on an 18-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex commercial real estate and residential transactions from onset to completion, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, municipal applications and agreements, due diligence and title matters, reporting and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Revising: You will draft documentation and correspondence, compile information and draft written reports, opinions and accounts for clients, as well as monitor and follow up on undertakings and escrow conditions.
- Preparing and Assembling: You will review and analyze agreements of purchase and sale, credit facility and loan commitments, contracts, agreements, leases, opinions, municipal applications, requisitions on title and responses to requisitions. You will prioritize and monitor various transaction components, conduct due diligence, calculate and draft financial documentation and data, handle fund receipt and disbursal, and complete transaction closings.
- Liaising and Communicating: You will consult and collaborate with solicitors and clients to receive and implement instructions. You will negotiate, communicate and consult with solicitors for other transaction parties and governmental professionals, flag potential issues and communicate these to the solicitor in charge, and problem solve transactional matters.
Requirements:
- Paralegal Certificate, Diploma or Degree; potentially also an Undergraduate degree (preferred)
- 2-10 years' experience or higher
- Varied real estate experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions with a minimum of supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Solid title searching ability, good drafting and mathematical skills
- Continuing education to keep abreast of changes
- Proficient in word processing using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Sound knowledge of the BC Land Title system and procedures
- Proficient in legal-related accounting program (Aderant preferred)
- Ability to compile transactional report books

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is expected to be between $68,476 to $96,197, influenced by the location of the incumbent and market considerations.
