Job Title: Farm LabourerWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Labourer to join our team at Custom Farm Service Inc. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to farm maintenance and crop production.
Key Responsibilities:- Farm Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as clearing brush and debris from fields, maintaining and managing growth of vines and crops, and operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
- Crop Production: Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, as well as harvest crops at the appropriate time.
- Task Management: Apply the technique of hoeing between rows, remove manually all suckers and water sprouts, tie and secure plants, and weed as needed.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, provide physical accessibility accommodations, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, and support social and labour market integration.
- Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Support for Veterans: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
