We are seeking a highly skilled Artiste technique to join our team at Aquent Talent. As a Level Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality artwork and maintaining a strong understanding of current-level art creation workflows and future industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality artwork and maintain a strong understanding of current-level art creation workflows and future industry trends.
- Work closely with the Art Leads and other members of the Level Art team to support the artistic vision laid out by art direction, maintaining visual quality, consistency, and level performance.
- Partner with the Level Design Team to solve art/design challenges and ensure levels are both playable and performant.
- Work closely with the Environment Art Team to provide them with detailed breakout sheets and communicate environment set requirements.
- Use a positive style of communication to work with the Production Team and Art Leads, keeping them informed of any dependencies, blockers, and cross-department challenges.
- A portfolio with examples of high-quality environment and level artwork.
- ~3+ years of environment/level art experience with at least one shipped title.
- ~A strong visual and technical understanding of level creation methods using Unreal Engine or similar game engines.
- ~Strong working knowledge of Maya (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software, Substance, Photoshop, and Z-brush, etc.
- Compensation based on several factors, including education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
