Project Overview

Arcadis is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the delivery of rail and transit projects. As a key member of our Mobility Global Business Area, you will be responsible for managing projects to meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of client relationships to ensure delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Lead and support project leads and key project staff in areas such as project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and commercial management.
  • Continuously monitor and manage costs, including procurements, labor, and other costs against the project budget.
  • Coordinate the development of project packages, including scope of work, supporting documentation, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain an overview of the commercial aspects of the project, including contract management, invoicing, debt, and client management.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder groups, including municipalities, provincial agencies, transit agencies, and utilities.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, working groups, meetings, and focus groups using hybrid methods.
  • Support change management activities on projects, including the development of change management strategies, plans, and tactics.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the project Quality/Safety Manager to ensure quality and safety objectives are met.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's University Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario.
  • 5-8 years of progressive and demonstrable experience managing/leading rail and transit projects in a large matrix organization.
  • Experience managing client relationships.
  • Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB) and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of varied multi-discipline teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario. PMP and/or CCMP or Prosci certifications. Previous work within a consulting environment. Knowledge of the transit, transportation, urban planning sector.
