Reports to: Front of House Supervisor/Indoor Operations Manager

Employment Status/Type: Seasonal, Full-time

JOB SYNOPSIS:

As a key member of the Front of House team, you will assist the Food and Beverage team in delivering exceptional culinary resort experiences for our guests. Under the guidance of the Front of House Supervisor and Indoor Operations Manager, you will support the team in championing sustainability initiatives, ensuring smooth food service, and providing top-notch customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing a sustainable approach in daily operations
  • Embracing and promoting Whitewater's mission statement and values
  • Participating in hiring and training staff for the Front of House team
  • Assisting in ordering and maintaining inventory for all front of house products and supplies
  • Resolving customer complaints and internal conflicts
  • Assisting in food service, including expediting orders when necessary
  • Ensuring opening and closing duties are completed to a high standard
  • Facilitating positive communication between the Front of House and Back of House teams
  • Supporting the Bar team in delivering exceptional service
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized environment, including daily washroom checks
  • Providing a positive, memorable, and outstanding guest experience
  • Performing other related duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Tourism or Business Certification an asset
  • Food & Beverage Serving it Right
  • Food safe Level 1
  • Point of Service Experience an asset

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in food and beverage
  • Excellent team player
  • Strong organization and administrative skills
  • Familiarity with the food and beverage industry
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be of legal age
  • Computer and cash handling experience
  • Willingness to travel to the mountain and work weekends and holidays as required
