Rural Alberta Healthcare Professional

Hines Health Services Inc. is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill contract positions within Alberta Health Services.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated hourly rate for this role is $70-$95, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
- Overtime pay
- Paid travel mileage (50 cents per km)
- Paid travel time (up to 7.5 hours at $50 per hour)
- Vehicle rental available upon discretion of AHS
Flights and accommodations are also provided.
About the RoleThis contract position will involve working in various rural locations across Alberta. As a contract RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Required QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, you must:
- Be a current or eligible Registered Nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
- Hold a valid Basic Life Support – Heart and Stroke (BLS-HCP) certification
- Have completed an accredited Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Nursing program
- Pass a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Provide proof of Rubella Vaccination
While not required, having the following qualifications may enhance your application:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience for Stream 1 roles
- A recognized Critical Care course and/or recent ICU/CCU experience for Critical Care-specific roles
- Current and clean Driver's Abstract
- Charge nurse experience
- Medically and physically fit to provide intensive care unit functions
For Stream 2 roles, we require:
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, including 1-2 years relevant experience in Intensive Care Unit or other Critical Care area
- Orientation program for adult critical care in Alberta (OPACA) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
